When Astrid Fadnes Brattebø took on a temporary assignment at Lerøy’s processing facility in Stamsund, the plan was clear: spend one year in Lofoten and return to the head office. However, the breathtaking landscapes, tight-knit community, and unique pace of life provided her with a new perspective🏔️ What was initially intended as a short-term relocation quickly evolved into a long-term commitment—both professionally and personally. Astrid made the decision to stay. Today, she serves as the Production Manager at the Stamsund facility, which has become a cornerstone of the local community with deep roots in the fishing industry. Fully renovated in 2019, the facility blends cutting-edge operations with a strong local presence, aligning perfectly with Lerøy’s commitment to sustainable value creation. “What I truly appreciate about working with Lerøy is the opportunity to be part of a network of facilities across the entire Norwegian coast, even in the smallest communities. This provides not only meaningful professional growth but also the chance to contribute to local development,” says Astrid. Her journey exemplifies how rural work environments can offer a unique blend of career advancement and a fulfilling lifestyle—where nature, community, and professional development harmoniously intersect 🐟 #Lerøy #CareerDevelopment #RuralOpportunities #Stamsund #Lofoten #Sustainability

On April 2nd and 3rd, Salmon City was held in Bergen for the fourth time, and we were proudly present at this important event. Salmon City is one of Norway’s most central meeting points for students interested in learning more about the aquaculture industry 🐟 Our CEO, Henning Beltestad, participated in a panel discussion on “What do fish farmers do?”, where he highlighted the current challenges and future opportunities within the industry. Additionally, our delicious salmon burgers were served as lunch to all participants. We had the opportunity to meet many talented students who took the time to chat with us at our stand, and several seized the chance to learn more about career opportunities we offer. As our Employee Branding and Recruitment Manager, Mona L. Willumsen, says, "Salmon City is an important event for Lerøy, allowing us to engage with talented and motivated students from a wide range of disciplines. We have organized workshops, photo competitions, and blind taste tests featuring different fish species. At our stand, we are proudly represented by our greatest asset—our employees." Thank you to everyone who participated in Lerøy’s activities and visited our stand during the event. #SalmonCity #Aquaculture #Students #Bergen #FutureTalent

On March 17–18, a cross-functional workshop team from VAP, PU, Brand & Innovation, IT, and Stamsund operations came together to explore new opportunities for increasing production capacity. Using Lerøy Design Thinking, we focused on developing consumer-centric solutions through direct engagement and rapid testing. This methodology fosters creative and interactive collaboration, enabling small, multidisciplinary teams to generate and validate ideas effectively. One of the key takeaways from the workshop was the importance of actively involving consumers in the development process. Through interviews and testing, we gained valuable insights that help shape more targeted and sustainable solutions. To further strengthen our internal adoption of Design Thinking, we are pleased to collaborate with our intern, Julia Richstad, a student from the Innovation and Management master's program at HVL. She is supporting us in building an internal learning system that will make this methodology accessible to even more employees. #Innovation #LeroySeafood #DesignThinking

We are excited to announce our new partnership with the Norwegian Board Association (Brettforbundet) to inspire and engage young people through snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. With shared values of a healthy lifestyle, inclusion, and community, we see great opportunities ahead 🏂 Brettforbundet plays a crucial role in fostering arenas where young athletes can develop, compete, and grow. With Lerøy’s support, they will strengthen their ability to assist local clubs and prepare for key events, including the 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. Proper nutrition is a key factor in athletic performance, and we are proud to contribute to raising awareness about healthy and sustainable food choices. “Board sports are about play, community, and inclusion. That’s why it’s important for us to collaborate with innovative partners who recognize the value of our environment,” says Thomas Harstad, Marketing and Organization Manager at Brettforbundet. At Lerøy, we see great value in engaging young people on the importance of nutrition for both performance and overall well-being. “We want to make seafood more relevant and attractive to a younger audience, while also fostering good and sustainable eating habits. Brettforbundet’s strong community and ability to engage across events make them an ideal partner,” says Pål Erik M. Michelsen, Head of Brand & Innovation at Lerøy Seafood Group ASA. When Mariell Celina Brose Simonsen (30) set out to sea at just 18 years old, she didn’t have experience — just determination. She started as a ‘halvlotting’ on half-pay, eager to learn and prove herself. It didn’t take long before she mastered the trade, earned a full salary, and set her sights even higher. Today, she’s a ship’s mate aboard Lerøy Havfisk’s factory trawler, Doggi. Her career has been built on hard work, ambition, and resilience. From factory manager to ship’s mate, she has consistently pushed forward, never settling for less. And she’s not stopping yet — her next goal? Becoming a captain. Though women are still in the minority in the fishing industry, Mariell believes that enjoying the job matters more than gender. Over the years, she’s seen the work environment shift, with more inclusivity and mutual respect on board. At Lerøy, we’re committed to bringing more women into the industry. Since 2020, we’ve doubled the number of women in Lerøy Havfisk — and we’re just getting started. Through school visits, career fairs, and mentorship, we’re working to ensure that more women see the opportunities waiting for them in fisheries 🐟 Read more in Norwegian: https://bit.ly/41ILAtc Read more in English: https://bit.ly/43TzOP2 #Lerøy #WomenInFisheries #Leadership

Equality in leadership: Lerøy Spain’s efforts paying off At Lerøy, we have set an ambitious goal: By 2030, 40 per cent of our managers will be women. "The Group’s share of women in management positions is currently 24 per cent. There’s still a way to go before we reach the goal, but things are heading in the right direction, and we’re confident that it’s entirely achievable. To get there, we need to take a targeted approach to both internal skills development and external recruitment. At the same time, we can see the value in taking inspiration from Lerøy’s experiences in other countries,” says Vibeke Søbstad, HR Manager at Lerøy. A prime example of this progress is Lerøy Processing Spain, where 57 per cent of management positions are held by women. Their success demonstrates how a long-term focus on culture and skills development delivers results. Some examples of the key measures driving this achievement include: - Inclusive language focusing on gender-neutral formulations - Fair system of promotion - Courses in gender-balanced management - Work-life balance flexibility - Regular pay reviews One inspiring example is Gabriela Ortiz, who started as a production administrator in 2018 and, within a few years, worked her way up to a management position, leading a key team and working with one of our largest customers. As Kjersti Selvik, Head of HR VAP, Sales, and Distribution, states: “Lerøy Processing Spain has shown that systematic work on equality delivers results. Their experiences can be an inspiration for the rest of Lerøy to achieve the goal of increasing the share of female managers. Now it’s a question of building on that success, sharing best practice and continuing our efforts to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces throughout the Group.” Read more in Norwegian: https://bit.ly/3DnL37A Read more in English: https://bit.ly/3QMjdVI #DiversityInLeadership #Inclusion #WomenInBusiness #Lerøy #SustainableGrowth

Ensuring good fish welfare is a fundamental pillar of our operations 💙 We take a systematic approach throughout the entire life cycle to ensure that our fish thrive under optimal conditions. Lerøy continuously develops and implements solutions that enhance fish welfare and sustainability across the value chain. Increasing use of automated (digital) monitoring of salmon — focused on lice levels, feeding, growth, and overall well-being provides better insights into fish health and enables early intervention when necessary. This also minimizes handling, reducing stress for the fish. By implementing operational improvements in genetics, roe, smolt, and grow-out production, we aim to further strengthen fish health and resilience. The introduction of shielding technology at sea, including submersible and semi-closed cages, has already led to significant improvements in fish welfare and survival rates. The results shows a strong biological performance in 2024, and over the past 1.5 years we have reduced the number of lice treatments by 85 % in our facilities with new technology. We are excited to announce the opening of Lerøy Korea, our new sales office in South Korea, led by Mingu Jeong. After five years of managing the Korean market from Norway, Mingu has returned home to establish and expand our presence in this dynamic, fast-evolving region 🇰🇷 Over the past two decades, demand for Norwegian salmon in Asia has skyrocketed, making it a critical growth market. With competition intensifying, being closer to our customers enables us to respond faster, strengthen relationships, and drive sustainable growth — not only for salmon but for our entire seafood portfolio. “The past six months have been an incredible journey — filled with challenges but also exciting opportunities. Moving my family, setting up the office, and navigating this transition has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being on the ground allows me to truly understand and contribute to the market we serve,” says Mingu. One of Lerøy Korea’s key priorities is introducing Norwegian fjord trout to Korean consumers. We've already made great strides, launching Lerøy fjord trout on Coupang and Market Kurly, two of Korea’s largest online platforms for fresh food. While our journey is just beginning, every step forward cements our role as pioneers of Norwegian fjord trout in Korea 🐟 #LeroySeafood #FjordTrout
